FAQS
What happens if my team is selected as the winner?
Each member of your team – or his/her parent or legal guardian, if the team member is a minor – will be required to sign and submit Declaration of Eligibility, a Publicity and Liability Release, and a W9 form within five days.
I see a waiver is needed, but I am under 18.
If your video is selected as the winner, you will be notified and sent the appropriate forms to be completed by your parent or guardian. Completed forms must be received withing five (5) business days in order to receive the prize.
Do we need to cook or show our state invitational entry skills in the video?
You are not required to cook on camera or repeat your program from the state competition. However, including this information, a demo, or other program elements may add to the demonstration of skill or assist you in communicating your idea.
Can my team enter if we do not place in a state invitational?
Absolutely! You just need to participate in a State Invitational in order to qualify to enter.
What should we include in our video?
You will showcase your idea for a food truck that could be brought to life in Chicago if your team wins a spot on the trip. You should include the following elements:
Your signature menu item: What would you serve from your food truck in Chicago?
Theme: How does your dish fit into a food truck theme?
Visual identity: How would you like your food truck to look?
Experience: How is ProStart helping you reach your dreams?
How will I find out if I won?
Winners will be notified via a phone call or email to the team educator / chaperone as provided in the contest entry, so please ensure contact information is correct. The winning team will also be posted at sundaynightspotlight.com.
If we win, can we upgrade our flights or extend our stay in Chicago?
Any modifications to travel are at the team’s expense and must not inhibit the ability to participate in all trip agenda items.
